“Falkirk singer-songwriter-filmmaker has used the lockdown to do what he does best, create. The result will be Diamonds of a Horse Famine, and the equally oddly names Erotic Thistle is the first single from this new album. It’s an old song found in a forgotten notebook, written in a time of personal darkness and struggle, inspired in part by the story of a lady who wanted to steal Lenin’s death mask and use it to pleasure herself. It’s a low key and slightly left field track, but well worth a listen, and certainly whets the appetite for the release of the album next month…”
