“Despite lockdowns and a lack of live music, 2020 still managed to be a groundbreaking year for new alternative music in Scotland. To honour some of the talented artists who made waves over the past year, winners of this year’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA) were announced last night in a virtual event broadcast globally on Twitch.
The 2020 SAMA winners were determined following a three-day public ballot which received over 10,000 votes. The biggest winner of the night was artist, producer and DJ TAAHLIAH, who became the first black trans artist to be nominated for a SAMA, as well as the first artist to ever be nominated and win in two different categories in the same year…”
